The Village of Oberammergau first performed this Passion Play depicting the Life and Death of Jesus in 1634. Hoping their Town would be spared from the Ravages of the Bubonic Plague. This Tradition continues every Ten Years, performed by the Residences of the Town and is
truly a Spectacular Spiritual Event.
